AZ Manager, I’d rather have Penzone. Anything but Arpaio again, please. Or did you not read when I said “I can’t believe 14 people voted yes on this poll...”
The original post was praising Penzone for being boring, and therefore refreshing (as not in the news daily).

Sort of like voting for Trump, it's perhaps the only move left for those who don't buy into the progressive redesign of the USA. He ain't pretty, he's got all his warts, and whatever (I don't know I didn't live here during his reign), but the thought of AZ turning into California sheriff-wise, turns my stomach.

For now, Penzone seems to be perfectly even keeled. But who knows who the progressive virus evolves here.

“Progressive redesign”, LOL. Sounds like a bad case of paranoia. You’re reading way too much into this. This is a discussion about a county sheriff. But go ahead, vote based on fear and give the old kook your tally mark. Just know that you’re no longer a fiscal conservative once you do so.

I'm definitely one who believes that law enforcement should cooperate with each other in order to maintain safety (helping ICE remove illegals who have exhausted all their legal options for example), but Joe's issues go way beyond being a letter of the law LEO. If you are living in the county right now you are paying for his crimes and mistakes. If you read about his abuses of power while Sheriff you would actually be asking yourself why is this guy still trying to get a job as a LEO. Then you would ask yourself why isn't he in jail?

Sure I understand Detroit and Burning. And I hope Detroit is right and I am just wildly paranoid, and that AZ is riding between extremes. It just might be the mental condition that California bay area progressives traumatized me with. I am trying to decompress LOL.
