Okay, thanks for all your suggestions.

The space heater idea might be nice, but just seems a bit dangerous. I do have a warm pink blanket that I can use while I am sitting, and then when the trick or treaters arrive I can show my full costume. I think that is what I will do. To keep myself even warmer, I can even wear some pink warm slippers that I bought on Amazon.

I too used to go outside in the winter when it was 20-30 degrees with just a shirt and pants on, but, after only 2+ years out here, I'm freezing when its 60 degrees..sad, but true..
It's the low humidity. I feel like such a wimp now, after moving from Michigan. I used to walk around in shorts there when it was 50 degrees. Now, 70 here at night and I'm freezing.

yeah, its pretty embarrassing; the first year in Arizona I used to make fun of my wife, who was always cold; now I'm "that person" too..

I'm currently at a Halloween party in a Pink Power Ranger T-shirt and the same pink chino shorts as my fairy costume, and to my surprise, I don't feel too cold. Currently it is 66 degrees while I am making this post. Hopefully it isn't windy on Halloween night. The interlock polo of my fairy costume is slightly thicker, so I don't think think there should be an issue.

Who is the "us" you speak of? I live here as well and have for the last 12 years. I've never been cold when it is in the 60's. Matter of fact I just came in from throwing the ball for the dog to retrieve from the pool. I'm in shorts, t shirt and flip flops and it is in the 60's.

My earlier post meant I'm originally from Idaho but I've been here for over a decade and the 60's still are not cold. Matter of fact, it is the weather that everyone flocks to Phoenix in the winter to enjoy.

Who's the "everyone" you speak of? I flock to AZ for the temps in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Like or not during December and January, I put up with the highs in the 60's. The 60's beats highs that are "warm" in the 20's.

That all said, "they say" 18% of the people actually prefer the highs in the 60's. Who's the "they say" I speak of? See https://today.yougov.com/topics/life...al-temperature

I agree with Ponderosa. I've found myself shivering at 40 degrees here. For me, that would have been IMPOSSIBLE to happen back in MN. SI agree, people often acclimate.

I think it is because snowbirds just aren't educated about our average winter temperatures, with the perception that our average winter highs are at least in the mid-70s even though that actually isn't the case. Many seem to be more educated about other cities with similar average winter temperatures such as Houston.

If you get cold, go inside and just respond when the doorbell rings. I don't see the temperature as an issue unless you are going to sit outside the whole time, and even then, that depends on your personal temperature tolerance.
