I fear the vax program will be just as big a fiasco as the testing program here.

Many of the WWII era restrictions you are touting were for propaganda purposes like folks sacrificing their pots and pans for the war effort.

Companies are helping with PPE. There is a shortage of products in some industries you don't even realize because companies are cranking out PPE gear instead of their normal products.

States and cities with the most restrictive measures have failed at stopping COVID but succeeded in killing local businesses.

UofA is predicting a health "catastrophe" in Arizona unless stay in place orders including closing of bars etc is implemented immediately. Hospitals will completely exhaust their human and facility resources leaving both COVID and non-COVID patients without care. Given that Ducey has shown no interest in public health prioritizing it behind tatoo parlors and strip clubs, this seems like where we are headed in the next couple months. My family members in the health care field are already saying that the hospital is filling very rapidly with covids, some of them snowbirds who brought it with them or caught it here. They are also beginning to see serious flu patients making things worse.

^The letter indicates it's from "Members of the Covid-19 Modeling Team at the University of Arizona" without any specific signatures. That doesn't mean the letter's recommendations are wrong, but it calls into question whether this is the official stance of the University of Arizona, or instead the position of certain researchers employed there.

One would think it is the modeling team. They were advising the state DHS back near the beginning of the pandemic. When they came out with models in May showing an alarming summer surge based on Ducey's reopening strategy, they were ordered to stop working. IDK when they started up again or if anyone at DHS is paying attention to them. Arizona seems to be taking its advice from South Dakota these days.

Ever since the pandemic began, that poster has been pushing the agenda of shutting everything down and everybody sheltering in place. Little does he care that many businesses have suffered enormous losses as a result ... plus the fact that the lockdowns did little to nothing as far as stopping the COVID spread. If stats are going in the wrong direction, the last thing we need to do is put more people out of work & worsen the economy. As far as this predicted catastrophe with hospitals exhausting their resources: why aren't backup facilities like St. Luke's being reopened as originally promised over 6 months ago?

I remember that, but I think a different modeling team at ASU was involved.
