When there was first talk of a test for covid-19 back in February I believe it was suppose to cost more than $1,000. I would not pay attention to price at this point. But I will say this. If there was one time when the feds should step and cover the cost for something making it free for the public, a covid-19 vaccine would be that time.

I read there are sites with free testing now. Hopefully the vaccines will be very cheap or free, due to the tremendous economic benefits it has in restoring our society and economy.

Free testing is now available at CVS stores. I know someone who went today.

Do you know what types of test they are doing? I would like to get tested as back in February I came down with a cold, but no fever. I was traveling across the country during that time, so I am shocked I never got it, as far as I know. Would be interesting to know for sure though.

It's not the antibody test (although I think CVS can also do these). This one is looking for the live virus, the test where the swab gets jammed way up into the sinuses. I don't know anything beyond that.

Right to try was passed, but it's dishonest to act like you didn't know what I meant with the context of what I was replying to, ie: something going into their bodies in the form of a shot.

Dishonest? Seriously?

You made a blanket statement that was ignorant to how things work. I was responding to that not something else up thread you may have said earlier. The government decides what is legal to put in our bodies and from there we choose from those options. We don't have a unlimited right to decide what we can put in our bodies. We should be we do not.
