I stayed here in September and am coming back in January to check out Phoenix in the winter. I am thinking of becoming a snowbird when I retire. Its either Phoenix area or Houston where I lived for some time. Have friends there but Phoenix seems closer (I am in Calgary) and the climate not as harsh as the Houston humidity and the problems that could cause leaving housing vacant for 6 months of the year.

Northern Peoria is very nice. I'm unable to give you loads of details about Trilogy at Vistancia because we don't live in Trilogy, but we do have friends that live there that really like it. I can tell you that Vistancia is an amazing community to live in. And I along with other posters have written quite a bit about Vistancia, so just search Vistancia within this forum. You'll find lots of info. I cannot think of any reason not to buy in Vistancia because it is in great area will lots of new stores, etc. It's a good thing that Vistancia started when it did because it is a community and in an area that will as a whole survive our current US and AZ economic situation. I've heard of other communities that are majorly struggling in other areas of Phoenix that I believe got their development starts too close to the peak of the housing market. From what I've read and heard, those communities are the ones hurting the most. I think Vistancia is a smart buy, especially in today's market you can really find some deals. Or even if you want to rent first, I believe you'll really like it. Best wishes!
