I think he's great, he cracks down on the illegals and business that hire them. He is doing what mny tax dollars are paying him to do and he isn't trying to win over voters by making promises he doesn't intend to keep. If he says he's going to do something, HE DOES IT! Couldn't have a better man in office, in my opinion.

It's cool how you can smell illegal alien advocates like a fart in a car when you create a thread like this. I only wish Joe would get himself to Texas...I mean, Arizona blows...jk.

agreed - especially since we have a law that makes it illegal to employ illegals

If every Sheriff in the Country did the same Our Country would be much better off.

I think he is an idiot. The "SWAT-style" raid on Mesa City Hall in the middle of the night with numerous officers to apprehend a couple potential illegal immigrant janitors sealed the deal for me.

I think he does his job very well. Old school law enforcement; wish every county followed his example. Don't want to eat bread/water and sit out in the desert in a tent jail? Simple, then follow the law.

Somebody must like him if he's been the sheriff for 16 or so yrs now...oh yeah, most ppl that dont' like him aren't able to vote!

Whoa back up...A sheriff is a person whose job is to uphold the law, illegal immigrants and businesses that hire them are BREAKING the law, so put two and two together.....

I don't hate Arpaio, nor do I like him. There are much better people who can do his job. I voted for the Libertarian candidate for Arpaio's replacement in November 2008 and I'm very sorry the Libertarian did not win.

The next victimless criminal can be you. When that happens, you won't like Joe.
