I just realized what you said and recognized my similar behavior. I do have to agree the pigeon problem is out of control. the past couple years they keep making a nest on the lege over the garage. No matter how many times I get rid of them they come back. I gets effin annoying.

Get BugBusters or a similar company to come and put the spiky stuff that keeps them from nesting/resting/roosting. I have two big pillars in my entry that used to attract them-- they put the spikes up there, and painted them to match the pillars. Only the pigeons, and I, know they are there.
