Is there any sites to see pictures around the town or Surprise? Or Goodyear?

If you're looking for more "laid back" suburbs, look toward Cave Creek or Carefree. Those communities are smaller and more established, so you won't feel as though everyone from Illinois and Michigan is moving into your neighborhood.

Fountain Hills is also pretty laid back, though less so than Cave Creek or Carefree.

Carefree sounds very nice then I check the prices there isn't one house 2800 square ft. + under $300,000.. Thats the limit. And not to many more for Cave Creek. Look very nice though.

I guess Yukon and the Albuquerqueans, ites (???) couldn't convince you to move there afterall, LOL! I think you will like Surprise. Might be a little busier than you'd of originally like, but it isn't very urban to be exact after all it is a suburb and lower density area. You'll have a great experience I am sure...

I could have...I was just too nice to barge in on the "how is Phoenix" thread And I don't think OP ever posted on the ABQ forum

I like both metro areas. It was a hard choice for me, so I can understand where OP is coming from.

Well, we "tried" to discourage him from the immediate Phoenix area because of the related traffic and his description of what was ideal and the importance of the lack of significant traffic; but it seems like and is true that Surprise is just too nice to "drive" people away...no pun intended.

Well no question in my mind I would love to live anywhere around Phoenix, but its the parents that I'm trying to convince. I guess it just depends on how busy it really is. And If that area is to busy for them I can try maybe cave creek if that area is ever more affordable? Or maybe Buckeye, but thats getting pretty far out! Hopefully they like Surprise I guess!!!

I liked Rio Rancho, but not so much Albuquerque itself the downtown was pretty run down from what I remember? Both areas are better then where Im living now, I just think you would never get bored in or around Phoenix.
