I used to live near 52nd and Thomas when I was a kid, there was many people with livestock on their large ranch style land. I remember my neighbor having 12 llamas, among other animals.

Wow...if you are going to complain about the smells you shouldn't move there! Haha, ridiculous!

I want to live in a smelly place because that means I get to have goats and horses! I'll adjust to the stink!

There is plenty of Livestock out in Buckeye. 6 years ago before the boom out there, it was nothing but farming. Dairy's everywhere. Now a lot of the farmers sold out, many alfalfa/corn fields are gone, and some of the dairy's have shut down. It is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Development is destroying the state. Which is the whole reason for the depression we are in. Built too fast.

Roosters?

I had an owl sitting on my roof and hooting all night. Between him and the coyotes howling it's just plain noisy up here.

It really bothers me when I see some of the horses and other animals spending 99.5% of their lives in tiny pens and with no shade in the summer!

I live in South Tempe, 10-15 minutes from sky harbor airport, as central as you can get. I am in the middle of horse properties, and I wake to to an alarm clock of ***** doing their thing at 5am.

I live in a neighborhood where all of the properties have horse privileges. It comes down to the size of your lot. Lots over 10,000 square feet can have certain types of livestock. Roosters are prohibited by the city codes but I hear them all around my neighborhood and I really like them so as long as you find a neighborhood that's friendly with them you'll be fine. In fact my neighbor is selling his house if you're interested he doesn't have it on the market yet.

Check the date of this thread. It was 10 years ago. OP is probably not interested.
