If you ignore them, no one will be there and the media won't have their fun day of reporting. If a bunch of protestors are there, they get press and it makes the news, because everyone loves conflict. Just ignore the whole thing, IMHO.

It's not that these things were nonexistent around here before, just that this particular meeting got into the media for whatever reason.

I'd like to remind everybody that this is not a discussion about race, but the KKK. Please don't hijack this thread into something it's not.
Yac.

From what I have read, 73% of black children are illegitimate, thus only one parent is likely home, probably the mother. Just whose responsibility is it for this state of affairs?
"From what I have read" have you ever considered your sources? The kkk are people that like to press issues like that not realizing that whites make up the majority of the population. Unless you are saying that white people do not have children out of wedlock?

I'm sick and tired of the excuse making, rationalizing, and acceptance of this situation, which just repeats itself ad nauseum, yet those who perpetrate it look to others to solve and/or pay for problems of their own making.
Hmmmm, lets see the religous right is hard at work making it damn near impossible to get an abortion for those "unwanted pregnancies" and now they are working preventing insurance companies from providing certain forms of birth control to the insured because of the place that they work.

It makes no real sense, the insurance companies will provide viagra but not birth control pills, the poor cannot get abortions if needed or wanted but yet many complain about feeding those "unwanted" kids or providing them with "entitlements" but yet some of you overpriviledged p***ks have the audacity to complain about it!

Just because you are doing well now does not mean that you will aways be in that position

You do realize these 'unwanted pregnancies' are not immaculate conceptions right

Pretty much any source you wish to choose will confirm those numbers. White illegitimacy is also too high, but nowhere close to the percentage of black children born out of wedlock.
You may not like it, or want to ignore, or rationalize it, but those are the facts.

What does "illegitimacy" (an awful, dated term btw) have to do with an unintended pregnancy Mrs. Cleaver? You know they're not the same thing right?

It's NOT an "awful, dated" term, Mr. Urban Hipster.
