Not good at all...I can see Brashear from my front porch. Even though a unified district wouldn't be a bad idea in theory. Alot of burb parents won't want their Becky going to school with Jamal from the hood. Call it whatever you want but, at the end of the day it is what it is.

You're missing zman63's bigger point, I think: Everything is always terrible and hopeless. Once you come to accept that basic axiom, you'll follow him as a sort of prophet, as I have begun to.

It seems the police apprehended the perps already. Also said the victims all knew the shooters so at least it wasn't random as much of a plus that can be.

Really? Which others do you think "suck" that outnumber the good by 4?

Yeah that is good news. The victims also have non-life threatening injuries which is another plus.

This is true, but it isn't unique to the Pittsburgh area.

In every one of the fifty states, the biggest problem with the public schools is the public. If most people in a particular school district value education, and show it by doing basic things like feeding their kids breakfast, making them to their homework, and getting them to bed on time, the district will have good schools. If not, not.

Imo that makes it worse due to the fact that all people have to do is stalk you and get your schedule down. I've got friends/relatives who live further out and are petrified to come visit over incidents like this.

Pps goes belly up, the suburban people pay more in state taxes.

22 out of Allegheny County's 45 districts rank top 1/3 in the state.
