DiPietros in Westview puts the pepperoni under the cheese. Maybe everything under, but we like their pizza with pepperoni. Good stuff.

I'll have to try DiPietros! I miss my childhood pizza place.

Franks in Ambridge puts the cheese under the sauce.

In addition to those mentioned and the other usual suspects- a shout out for Pizza Badamo in Mt Lebanon and Jioios in Latrobe. Jioios is very unique and almost an acquired taste- very sweet sauce on a pastry-like crust.

I haven't tried this place yet. I sort of gave up on Pizza in Pittsburgh, but those pictures look good. Hard to find pizza with quality cheese in our region. Mostly flavorless.

I like New York/Jersey style pizza and that just doesn't exist here. If I grew up here, I might like the local variations better but I just have never been able to adjust.

Same here. The pizza in NJ was so good, I never ate it with toppings until I came to Pgh.

Also, someone mentioned Anthony's. I tried that last week and it was a lot better than most pizza you get in Pgh.

I've been telling you to go there for 2 years, and you haven't gone yet. SMH!
