The OP is not a sports fan at all so not sure why it was chosen....but da 'burgh is certainly a nice place to visit and fans are very congenial. Stiller fans, however, are extremely serious and expect a championship every year. Pens fans are similar, just to a lesser degree. Bucs fans are pretty laid back and are satisfied with a .500 season and anything above that is considered a big success.

Primanti's certainly isn't the best sandwich ever but definitely a good sandwich and a 'burgh original that's gone nationwide.

Yes. I think Canada has a law stating that its programming HAS to have a certain percentage "Canadian Content". Hence the introduction of "Bob and Doug McKenzie" to the old show "Second City TV". Otherwise, pretty much all of it is parodying American culture as Canada has pretty much little to none to work with.

So you're going to judge the sum of a country's culture based off of its tv series?

I'd say that is drawing a poor and wrong conclusion. It's just an example or illustration.

Canada is filled with self-doubt, culturally overwhelmed by its neighbor, struggling for a sense of identity, because they have none, other than hockey.

Yes they are but not as huge as the baseball team which drew more fans than hockey and goonball combined.

Yet they still pulled the offseason $$$ dump.

I would hope so. The Bucs play twice as many home games as the Pens and Stillers combined and PNC holds almost 20k more than CEC.

Bucs will most always be number 3 in popularity in da 'burgh. Nothing wrong with that. It's just a football town first.

Not really a hard accomplishment when you play 81 home games a season.....

That`s true and it`s not hard to sell out Heinz Field when a team plays only 8 games. How would the stillers tv ratings be if they didn`t play their games at a time of year when everyone is home bound?

Why pay Walker $10 million to do what Kang does for 5% of that?
