This article is so true. My family visited Pittsburgh in 2014 for no other reason than to attend a sporting event. We hired a tour guide for a 4 hour private tour and loved this city. We are currentlY planning our 3rd trip back.

We've done everything and more that is listed in this article and have even managed to convince a few other Australian friends to head to Pittsburgh.

You have a great city and we can't wait to be back in September. Was a bit too cold for us from the sub tropics in Jan/Feb.

This proves that sports do, in fact, increase a city's profile. Tourism, leisure and hospitality directly benefit from it.

No doubt. Pens and Stillers are huge.

Also shows that Canadians would probably shrivel up and die if it were not for hockey. Canada has no culture or little contribution to the world, save for hockey. Pittsburgh can count on Canadian hockey tourism so long as the Penguins stay.

Actually it's proven to be a pretty good sanctuary for the feint of heart among us, fleeing the policies/practices of dumbasses in our country, now and again throughout history. Of course I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe your post was just "tongue-in-cheek".

So what are the points of the article?

Is PBurg a nice city to visit? Are the fans the classiest around, and treat visiting team fans with the most respect? Is Primanti brothers the greatest sandwich ever?
