Kang plays 2b?

5%? Better use a calculator.

Kang and 1 year of play certainly hasn't proven he's as good as Walker.

You obviously have no idea of the popularity of the NFL and don't want to accept the popularity of the Stillers. Their popularity is top 5 in the nation and probably every year dating back decades. As to tv and ratings, teams just split $7.3 billion.

Stillers pre-season games have been known to draw a higher rating in da 'burgh than Pirate games when both teams are playing at the same time.

Kang can play any infield position but if Walker doesn`t want to play here....F**k him.

That's not proven...and Walker wanted to stay...but Bob was too cheap to stroke the check.

What will you say when Cutch is gone?

Unless another team or 2 fails miserably so the Bucs can lose the WC game as a division title is out of the question, the $$$ dump will likely result in Buctober not being on the calendar this year.

Wrestling gets great ratings too and attracts the same caliber of fans. Yes, a lot of people watch the NFL during the gloomy days of winter especially when they have a dollar on a square in the office poll. You don`t think gambling has anything to do with the popularity of the nfl do you?

Really? What are wrestlings ratings?

No sport in the US gets ratings like the NFL...and all sports have a form of gambling involved.

There is NO sport that has as many people participating to some degree in gambling as the NFL. I turned away from the stillers when I saw what the fans did to Kordell Stewart for the crime of playing poorly. Anyway, it will take nearly 5 seasons for the stillers to draw the 2.4 million the Pirates drew last year and unlike football fans, Pirate fans don`t bring their own food and drink to the game to get sloshed and obnoxious in the parking lots. The Steeler`s value to the city is vastly over rated.

It is a sports town, but lets be real here, it isn't like back in the 70's as a percentage. Pittsburgh is so much more international now especially in the East End with the big hospitals and universities. Most of our international folks could care less about our sports teams.

Anyway, this topic has gotten crushed by many I guess. I am glad the person enjoyed their time in Pittsburgh. It is a pretty good place to live in many neighborhoods. Keeping in mind over 70% of students in the PPS would qualify for a free lunch or reduced lunch, so there is a TON of people living in poverty in the city limits. Those areas aren't visited by tourists I suspect.

Right, because the NFL is king.

Kordell Stewart? You've been out of the loop for over a decade and it shows.

When was the last time you were in the parking lot for a Stiller game?

That number goes for most every team when compared to baseball with 81 home games.

That's your opinion...and it's obviously wrong. Stillers bring huge $$$ to da 'burgh.

The Stillers are the 6th most popular team in the nation and will always rule in popularity amongst 'burgh sports teams.

As to the Bucs, they used to win a WS. Not the case any longer but marketing and 3 winning seasons has brought in record attendance.

The Pens have I believe a 6 year waiting list.

Just because you're not a sports fan and you "think" it's not as big, doesn't make it fact.

Your constant reminder of poverty has nothing to do with the subject, however.
