“There is a belief that President Trump will soon move to fire Special Prosecutor Mueller. This would result in a large protest within 24 hours of the firing.”

The police should always be prepared, but this is just bizarre. Do they know something the rest of us don't? I certainly hope they aren't spending money on gear and police overtime based on pure bs rumors. And, would Mueller being fired really result in riots and the need for police to have riot gear? I could see some small protests of a couple hundred people downtown, but large protests or riots in Pittsburgh? Umm, no. This isn't San Francisco...yet.

They must have some legitimate info to take such precautions... and if that’s indeed the case and something major does happen and they’re not prepared, the evil police will be blamed for not doing their job.

Bizzarre? I don't even get it.

Who the heck cares? Goodness, how many snowflakes are moving into our city that we need to worry about some big protest over this? If you want to protest, I hope you leave Pittsburgh. We have had enough! People here work and are busy. Geez!

Who is Robert Mueller? Is he one of Pitt's coaches?

I'll be taking a break from work when this firing eventually ends up happening. I'll be protesting the action.

Deal with it.

Perhaps they're trying to be pro-active after they remembered how they botched the protests during the Trump rally at the convention center.
