Why would I state anything specific to running a nursing home just because you’re guessing and assuming?

Again, masks aren’t full proof, and how do you know social interaction wasn’t limited?

Today's dutiful report:

April 12...cases reported from last 18 days, starting with most distant:

45, 25, 61, 46, 25, 35, 31, 63, 57, 76, 53, 37, 47, 31, 39, 29, 48, 21

Consider Saturday's number (48) was largely in part to 40 infections found at one multi-residential location...the numbers from the last 3 days are encouraging. Could this finally be slip sliding away.....?

right - that is what i am saying. It doesn't matter if the facility was in tip top protocol for dealing with this, or if they were lax, and whether its standards were obvious or not. in America in 2019, someone will try a lawsuit. I hope NOT, because I feel those types of suits are always for material gain despite what the family says, but there is likely to be some lawyer out willing to take on a plaintiff.

It's nice you donated food, or were visiting a resident there who probably is lonely and sad. If they can hold on another month or two, hopefully you will be able to resume your visits.

Again, I haven't checked yet, plan on another drop Wednesday. For the record, I left the food in front of their apartment and never saw them in person. At 88 and 98, they are beyond high risk.

I agree someone will try but it will be extremely hard to ever prove a source. Those places have so many potential sources you could introduce mountains of evidence on possible alternative sources. Not saying good or bad to do, I am surprise they allow any real contact. I'll be heading over to my mom's place later today after we eat to drop her off easter dinner and some other things she needs. Her place locked down 2 weeks before it was required and I have not heard of any issues there. No one can enter, any deliveries are required to be left outside though residents can leave so any issues would come from that most likely.

So easy to circumvent. If I were a store owner I'd be ticked off having my sales limited.

We HAVE to reopen the economy, and these numbers will go back up (unless summer slows things down until fall). The trick is to keep it manageable, without destroying he livelihoods of 30% of the country.
