I realize there are no fans attending, but at least some hotels and such will gain some revenue. I don't know if the city gets a little something or not? I also think during games the TV stations usually show the city, so that is always a good thing considering our cool skyline.

yep - Fitz is on KDKA right now, talking about it.

I heard rumors about this, but never gave it much thought.

this is GREAT for our local economy, and of course, hopefully showing the city's amazing topography and loveliness from the vantage point of PNC Park helps.

Many teams that will play against the Jays are winning teams, but the Jays were one of the worst teams in the league last season.

It's a new season. Hope springs eternal.

Hope is all there is. Both teams are going nowhere.

It is a positive of course. With no fans, it will be odd, but I am glad PNC Park will at least be used more and hope the players enjoy Pittsburgh as much as you can during a pandemic. I think people need sports to watch. At first I didn't care much, but I think it will be nice to have seasons being played in sports if they can do it safely. Baseball is pretty safe since players don't come in contact all the time. I will watch some Blue Jay games when they play here. Just to hear the commentary and see the city.

The problem with the way MLB is handling the season in regards to the virus isn’t ideal in most any way. The constant traveling back and forth which is an issue in itself, along with staying at different hotels, restaurants, etc... The NHL has a great plan, MLB not so much. Hopefully the season gets played but it eventually being cancelled won’t surprise me.

Yeah, Jays pretty much stink. And look at that division - Boston, New York, etc. Nuff said.

Sounds to me like economic conditions that cause a thirty team league to only have five teams that count isn't exactly a recipe for expanding popularity. Salary cap / floor, please.
