maybe this is the rationale for establishment of this policy.
People can sit at the bar 6’ apart same as they can at separate tables. It’s done in other states, Wolf just doesn’t allow it.

Are you in favor of a tax increase?

How many drunks do you run into?

My roommate for starters lol.

2/3 of the state legislature is still controlled by Rs. And even if this gets signed by Wolfie I'll likely get a tax cut based on my income. https://www.pennlive.com/news/2021/0...-for-many.html

So in other words, your roommate. Find a roommate that doesn’t drink and that problem is solved.

Ahhhh, so you don’t have a problem with Wolf raising taxes because it benefits you. I’d wager you wouldn’t be in favor of it if it didn’t...and losing revenue from businesses that serve alcohol, especially drink taxes, would raise everyone’s taxes.

Wolf has made an economic mess of the state this last year.

TGIF - i worked hard all week and can't wait to walk down the street later and have a few beers at the bar

oh wait - i can't do that - if i sat at the bar and had a beer i might spread the rona even though i have no symptoms and feel fine - who knew that if you feel fine you're actually not fine - talk about orwellian nonsense

not until you pay tribute to the medical industrial complex by
- getting tested $$$
- getting vaccinated $$$
- and soon having proof of immunity on your phone $$$

guess i'll just stay home and have a few beers here by myself - THIS CITY SUCKS - i'd be getting the hell out of here tomorrow if not for family obligations which i am happy to fulfill

While it’s extremely ridiculous, and Wolf can be thanked for that, you can always sit at a table right near the bar.

Or he can leave the state, just as you did, and make it better for everyone!

Nah, state and city revenue is wayyyy down and needs the tax revenue due to Wolf shutting it down and folks being too scared to leave their homes because of the media fearmongering. Although, the virus seems to be the miracle virus. The flu, heart disease, cancer, etc..., are all but unheard of now....and then there’s the Trump vaccine to open everything up like other states have.

i don't normally concern myself with the person behind the screen name on this forum, but since i'm forced to stay home instead of enjoying happy hour i'd venture to guess Merge isn't from pittsburgh originally - it's usually the transplants who want the natives to leave so they can remake the city in their own image - i grew up in shadyside and i'm still here, unable to sit at the bar and have a beer on walnut street

where ya from Merge?

They often leave for greener pastures and then want the pastures to be like the ones they left, much like the migrants of today.

I'm trying to support a family and educate a kid. I make no apologies that I prioritize keeping the infection rates down by controlling non-essential things so that schools can open safety or stay open.

If anybody wants to say I think that way because I wasn't raised here is welcome to do so, but I have things to get done and, as much as I like bars, they come below family and work on my priority list.
