When do we look at this as a trend in our region. How is that division campaign treating us all? Just the beginning I suspect as the momentum is clear.

Why haven't they defunded the police and removed them from the city? Gangs will be more than willing to extract protection money from residents and business owners.

Been hearing about social workers aka safety ambassadors for so long. Can’t believe they haven’t been put in place to whip criminals into shape. Who wouldn’t want to be unarmed dealing with the dregs of society

Why have police if they immediately release the criminals from jail? The city could save a fortune by just getting rid of them. Same with the people working with addicts on the street. Save the taxpayers money.

The mayor has "stealth" defunded the police---kept their budget the same on paper while instead not replacing any officers as they have been resigning or retiring. He still hasn't selected a new police chief, either, so there is a clear lack of focus or leadership within the bureau at the moment. He initially said he would be selecting a chief in December 2022. That has now become April 2023 with no explanation for the delay.

Letting folks fend for themselves is a fabulous idea, especially for those that say they don’t do anything, don’t want them in their areas, say “F the police”, etc… Definitely save taxpayers a fortune. Just gotta be allowed to use icky guns to be able to defend oneself without having to be concerned with the defenders of the poor entitled criminals, soft on crime voters and political figures, those blaming guns, etc…

He only missed twice in 17 accounts! Well done you, pal.
Times must be tough in Punta Gorda if he needs to befriend someone whom he perceives to be a troll.

Always love the assumptions. I’ve never called anyone a troll, though they’ve admitted to being just that over many usernames. I have many friends on c-d, including h Curtis, and have pm’d each other. Just because the truth is unpopular and folks disagree sometimes doesn’t make one a troll. Also sent you a request. Thought I did that long ago.

Haven’t been in Punta Gorda for a few minutes. We’ve sold 2 places since we bought down here starting in Ft. Myers due to taking advantage of housing prices skyrocketing, and have settled into Tierra Verde.
