Well I know that. It's obviously a situation involving beer. You're not going to drink a six pack then show up to work. Nor would I smoke a joint then head into work. It also all depends on the type of "work" you're talking about I'd have to say. Different jobs require different physical and mental abilities.

I've had people do exactly that, as well as show up for work still drunk from the night before. And, have another six-pack in a cooler in the car for lunch time. Just like I've had people go out to the car during lunch and have a joint. It's hardly the thing to do if you're working with 4,160 volts of electricity. So, legalize it and there will be even more of it. Then, you'll be starting threads about industrial accidents going up.

I don't understand your reasoning.

Alcohol is legal but you don't see a vast majority of people showing up to work drunk. Only a very small percentage of the population consumes alcohol on the job. Why do you think marijuana would be different?

It wouldn't be any different. But you can't blame the prohibitionists for trying with this weak argument.

No value to society and keep drugs illegal. Those that are caught should be sent to the farmers to pick cotton for 30 days. They won't be back after that little punishment.

No value to society?

What about drugs used in religious ceremonies? What about drugs used at social events like ball games and concerts. What about drugs used to treat nausea? What about drugs used to treat depression and anxiety? What about drugs used to treat life threatening diseases?

Pick cotton?? What about grapes or apples? Melons?

Maybe you need some drugs. And/or posted on drugs.

Exactly it is just another point trying to be made by prohibitionists to seem like anyone and everyone would come into work stoned.

LOL, it was cotton pickers and Mexican immigrants that were doing dirt poor labor that used it the most for a long time.

Now, no more bong hits for you, get back to reading.
