I'll bet you think that there is not really a CPUSA, don't you? What would that tell us about you?

How about you providing some facts proving McCarthy did anything but operate with the theory of "accuse everybody, let someone else sort fact from fiction" and supported it with anything but drunken rants.

I think you may have just uncovered at least 4 of THEM and can't wait to see how many more there will be.

Somehow they don't seem to know that we are on to their favorite Alinsky method of covering up anything that may expose them and the expose themselves when they do it. Damned good idea for a thread.

Roy, Skousen touted his work in the FBI as the basis of his book. No one is denying that there was and is a Communist Party in the United States. And there should be. We are a country that supports political freedom. And that means that there will always be some political movements that are not going to match up with the goals or needs of the majority of Americans. Groups like the Communist Party, or the KKK, or the John Birch Society. We live in a society that is strong enough to withstand such movements, and is stronger for having withstood such movements. The FBI unequivocally denied that Skousen had access to information on communism through its offices. So what Skousen used to establish his credibility is false.

I really resent you impugning the character of myself and the others who've rebutted the OP on this thread.

Greg, could you tell me about the small farmers in the Soviet Union while they still had real communism? You know, the cooperatives and how much they did for the small farmers? While you are at it can you tell me how Vladimir Putin is not known as a former KGB agent by those who vote for him?

I just wondered how much you folks could tell me about why the Soviet Union didn't manage to feed their people with all the great land they had. Come ahead and let me know all of this.

You are alledging he made it up. I already posted info saying that everything in that book was carefully documented. Your turn to show otherwise.

Yahoo Martha, get the tin-foil!

We got us some pinko commies behind them there bushes

FDR was absolutely right! What we really need to fear is not commies but fear itself.

One need only look at a debacle like Vietnam, caused my NO true threat of communism, only the fear of it, to see the kind of asinine foreign policy scared little drunks like McCarthy brought to this country.

Ever here of the Venona intercepts? I guess not, read and educate:

"The decrypted messages gave important insights into Soviet behavior in the period during which duplicate one-time pads were used. With the first break into the code, Venona revealed the existence of Soviet espionage[12] at Los Alamos National Laboratories.[13] Identities soon emerged of American, Canadian, Australian, and British spies in service to the Soviet government, including Klaus Fuchs, Alan Nunn May and Donald Maclean, a member of the Cambridge Five spy ring. Others worked in Washington in the State Department, Treasury, Office of Strategic Services,[14] and even the White House."

You simply are confused over what this list is.

Sure I did.

But unlike you, I actually knew what it was that I was reading.
We used to drive into Czechoslovakia just to see if we could for an afternoon of fun. We did it in a good government owned Jeep and got past the border guards some how. The Italians were easy but the Czechs had to have some money.

I was there in 1956-1957 when the Cold War was anything but cold. I well remember helping pinpoint the Soviet tanks that were brought in to surround Hungary in 1956. I was RDF.
