Cool, blame your parents.
If they would quit spending the SS surplus, it would be solvent for good.
That's who you should be after, Congress, who spends the SS funds and doesn't replace them.
Not the people who paid into the system for 40-50 years.

As I stated in a previous post the SS system has been taking in more than it pays out for the last 25 years. It has a reserve fund of 2.5 trillion dollars invested in government bonds. If no changes are made, the system will be solvent for the next 33 years. source CBO
