For-profit colleges account for only 10% of students enrolled in higher education, but those students receive 23% of federal student loans and grants, and account for 44% of defaults.
I think for profit colleges are a complete joke. You shouldnt be able to just go on the internet and get a worthless bachelors degree

Federal loans simply should not be provided for these colleges. Community colleges are affordable and abundant.

I am not against for-profit education overall, but I am against how many of these places are currently being run. CC's and other colleges are not generally not meant to be "job training" but for profit schools can be. And if done right would certainly have a place in society as a trade school or something.

Trade schools are not colleges. I agree that they are important, but they are something completely different then what I am talking about.

I am not talking about schools offering certifications, etc, but schools offering degrees. Places like University of Phoenix... Even the name is intentionally misleading.
