For profit colleges are aggressively recruiting veterans in order to take advantage of the $$$ from their GI bill. Unfortunately, these veterans find their degrees worthless and their funding exhausted.

Another example of corporate greed taking advantage of American citizens and tax dollars!

Quote:
Promised an education if we only go fight wars for corporate profits, young veterans are now being misled and taken advantage of by corporate colleges. For-profit colleges, which are simply money-making schemes with false promises of higher education, have made hundreds of millions of dollars while offering veterans almost nothing of value.

Excellent frontline piece...however, the Veterans Administration and the Veterans themselves are the ones to blame. Failure to assist...and failure to pay attention to detail.

Bottom line-- If you are a Veteran...be sure to do your homework, if it sounds to be good to be true--it is.

So veterans (adults) are more gullible than high school seniors (children) and cannot decide what school is worth the money?

do you always get your news from the newspaper of the party for socialism and liberation?

anyways, as far as i can tell, veterans are not being forced to go to these for-profit schools.

I am guessing that a veteran returning from war is particularly vulnerable to scams that promise a chance to build a new life.
