Still in the worst taste, especially in this case. I don't take cartoons seriously either, most people don't but this was beyond tacky. I can't believe any person with any feelings could begin to excuse this.

It is old, but has been brought to the front again cause it was part of a couple of shows last night on TV.

I thought the Family Guy was a Down's Syndrome character?

That's what I love about the right. No double standards at all.

Strike that. No standards, period.
I believe the post was intended to point out a different double standard.

Personally, I think a politicians children should be off limits unless they're actively involved in politics (and by actively involved, I don't mean posing for a photo with their parents at an event). I didn't think Rush's about Chelsey Clinton were ever ok, and I thought whoever was that started the whisper campaign against McCain in 2000 was the lowest of the low. Leave the kids alone. Yes Seth McFarlane, I'm talking to you. Sarah gives you plenty of ammo on her own - don't need to take shots at the child (I know this is an old issue, but principle is principle).

^^^I agree with the above, but the song in question isn't about Trigg Palin. It's about a female character on a TV show. The OP threw in Sarah Palin's baby b/c the character referenced has Down's, and by extension, this is a song about Trigg Palin, who also has Down's.

I agree that the kids should be off limits.

The song may not be specifically about Trigg Palin, but it's not off base given that a previous episode with that subject included the reference to the former Governor of Alaska. I think they got enough attention that they wanted to bring it up again.

Oh how wrong you could be. The Palin reference comes from the damn show itself. They said that the DS child's mom was Sarah Palin in the episode itself..

There are evil people in this world, didn't really believe it before but now I do.

Family Guy
The show is intentionally rude, tasteless and over-the-top....and is nowhere near as bad as southpark so no, you haven't seen it all.

I'd recommend you start off with the Paris Hilton episode.

They said the mother of the child (a girl, btw) was the former Gov. of Alaska. I'll agree it's a thinly veiled reference to Sarah Palin, also crude and inappropriate. I wouldn't defend it for a minute. But the song is not about Trig Palin, it's about a girl.
