Just as the thread title supposes: If you don't like the Tea Party, it's ideals, and even it's protest signs, then stop whining and get off your ass and create a counter-movement.

Nothing or no one is stopping you, except your own apathy.

Why do we need a counter movement? They are just doing fine on their own to discredit themselves and any politician who associates or entertain, supporting them.

Sometimes its just best to let them dig their own graves.

The problem with your philosophy is that they are not digging themselves a grave. In fact, the renewed emphasis on social and fiscal conservatism is reverberating at the macro level all across the country. Those who would never associate with the Tea Party are realizing that this nation requires a much-needed conservative correction.

The message is very clear. Which is why conservatism is winning heading into the November elections.

We have enough movements that are for the downfall of America, don't give them any ideas to start another one

The libs tried to copy the TP by forming the transparent Coffee Party, but that peetered out faster than Mike Dukakis.

You just can't replicate a bona-fide grassroots movement like the Tea Party. It's full of good, real, everyday people who want a real change in government.

The majority of Americans agree with what the Tea Party is doing.

It amazes me that liberals are so upset about the Tea Party.

The Tea Party is protesting bigger government. It something people have been doing here since the 1700s.

The Tea Party is the mainstream. It's the libs that are attempting to suppress free speech that we need to be concerned about.

Exactly. Apathy went back to the couch on January 20, 2009. It's too much work to counter the Tea Party, especially since there is no zeal left-over from the 2008 campaign. So what do they do? The cry racism. Black people calling a largely white movement racism is about as predictable as the sun setting in the west.

I think they have one or two or three, Black Panthers, La Raza, NAACP, Lulac, and probable half a dozen others I've forgotten
