Some people's mindstate are fragile than others individuals. He flipped out! Most people would have left that job with their middle fingers in the air. He wanted to make them pay for how he thought he was treated. It's rare to see a Black man go Postal like that. That coward killed those people in cold blood. God have mercy on his soul.

I am sure you do. The question is whether or not you believe some races have more "white trash", as a percentage, than others. I mean, logically, if all the races had the same percentages would we not share the same overall statistics on poverty, unemployment and the like?

I agree with much of that. If you look at the history of what blacks have experienced at the hands of whites....rarely has it resulted in a response like this. I cannot imagine anything that he experienced that would rival the things that went on 30 or more years ago.

Nope, as my husband would say..I am equally racists (and I mean that tongue in cheek)...As I have stated over and over again. I believe in personal accountability. Now I understand that there are some instances where people are stuck, but being stuck in a situation does not equal the right to behave badly, it does give them the right to use their brain and find a way out of that situation..

So why is black poverty 3 times the rate of whites and black unemployment twice the rate of whites and so many other things worse than whites if all races are basically the same?

I see you continuously reverting to the race of a person instead to the choices those persons make..

So my problem, I see people not condoning it, yes. But I see people looking to place "reasoning" on his race. I have not seen anyone attempt to place the "reasoning" on maybe mental defect, depression etc etc.

Sure, race is and will always be an issue in this world, and the "race blame"(for lack of better words) does not solely lie on one particular race.

I guess what I am trying to say is, race is the first thing that came up. *shrugs* I don't think I am writing what I am thinking clearly..
To be fair, race was brought up first because the killer's last words were about killing the racists who were bothering him. Had he not said those words, I can only guess (and hope) that maybe the conversation would have been a bit different.

No...I am trying to ascertain your reasoning. The FACTS are that there is socioeconomic racial inequality. I just want to understand how you EXPLAIN these gaps between the races. You mention personal responsibility. If blacks are statistically much worse off on measures of poverty and employment, does it logically follow, with your personal responsibility theory, that blacks are less personally responsible than others? If so, what is this rooted in?

I agree, but what happened, everyone jumped on the race bandwagon, simple because the killer made the accusation.

There are people in this world, of every color and race, that have their own preconceived ideas about what racial discrimination is. My personal opinion is that he was caught steeling, basically red handed, and instead of taking responsibility and doing the honorable thing and walking away, he chose to blame someone else..

Now, if he had not been caught steeling, and really was just fed up with racist people, and snapped, I might have believed he was in fact a victim of racial discrimination..However, the way things played out leads me to believe otherwise. And yes, the same standard of my thinking above, would be applied to anyone...
