My favorite,

Several of the women particularly talked about becoming a sort of truth police, spending a great deal of their personal time and energy watching FOX to get the real stories, then turning to CNN, MSNBC, and the networks to document their failure to cover the “real truth.” It was unclear what they did with this information once gathered, other than share it with others within this group.

And the difference between this move and an afternoon of soaps is........

What?!? You're barking up the wrong tree. The race card was heavily played and manipulated by unethical liberal journalists and academics. JournoList ring a bell?

But in this survey it didn't register, so the race issue is actually likely to be less of a motivator than is apparent -- or the questions werent looking draw it out, and it didnt come up in the replies.
Newsflash: Race isn't the issue. That was just a smear tactic employed by the unethical liberal JournoList colluders. Apparently, you were easily duped.

Nice attempt at deflection. I'm not going to go back and find for you all the posts and posted images and posted links on this very message board from terrified right wingers that thoroughly prove my point. But you can do it yourself, it's a very good snapshot of the RW POV regarding "the race issue" and all the associations therewith gittin into our White House. Go ahead and look, it's pretty funny.

Plus I added at that post to "But in this survey it didn't register, so the race issue is actually likely to be less of a motivator than is apparent" "-- or the questions werent looking draw it out, and it didnt come up in the replies."

The first two pillars are pretty common for the party out of the White House to claim. The far right or left doesn't speak well to the middle. Why worry about those extreme votes.

You must be imagining things... all I saw here on C-D were people criticizing Obama's ideology and policies, followed by the lefties' knee-jerk reaction of screaming racism at every little thing.

Yeah, because race ISN'T THE ISSUE.
Do you finally get it (more than 2 years later)?

No, they are there, go ahead and read them, dont be skeered, though you're going to see things you dont want to admit to. It really is amusing to look back at those old posts.

It wasn't written into the survey questions to be drawn out in the responses. Yes, I get it, it's not as if this is about outsourcing in Sri Lanka or something hard like that.

Good grief. The posts are criticizing Obama's ideology and policies. The racism charges in response are levied by non-thinking knee-jerk reacting liberals.

From the survey article you linked...
Quote:
Conducted on the heels of Joe Wilson’s incendiary comments at the president’s joint session address, we gave these groups of older, white Republican base voters in Georgia full opportunity to bring race into their discussion – but it did not ever become a central element, and indeed, was almost beside the point.

...(A survey respondent): "You can’t openly criticize Obama. If you do, you’ll be labeled as a racist.
Whatever we say about Obama, no matter what we say about him, it is a racial comment so you know, we can’t say anything, we personally do not like him. I don’t care if he is purple, but whatever we say we’re racist.
...The things that we’ve said have nothing to do with race. They have to do with policy and… an agenda, his agenda"
Do you get it now, 2+ years later?

Um yes, see my several posts regarding it, including the OP, and my first reply to you. I would be happy to believe that no conservative voter has any racial fear. But the several examples I gave you in post 9 prove that's not true. I dont feel like arguing this with you so you can believe what you want; nevertheless the facts are there if you want to see them.

"When they look at the totality of his agenda, they see a deliberate effort to drive our country so deep into debt, to make the majority of Americans so dependent on the government, and to strip away so many basic constitutional rights that we are too weak to fight back and have to accept whatever solution he proposes."

"There is no doubt in their minds that the ultimate goal of this strategy is to change our country to a socialist nation. In their minds, this is the key to truly understanding the Obama presidency and what is happening in our country today. Everything goes back to government control and Obama (aided by Democrats in Congress and the liberal media) seeking to systematically strip away individual rights and insert government into every aspect of our daily lives."
