Americans increasingly are convinced -- incorrectly -- that President Barack Obama is a Muslim, and a growing number are thoroughly confused about his religion.

Nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, said they think Obama is Muslim, up from the 11 percent who said so in March 2009, according to a poll released Thursday. The proportion who correctly say he is a Christian is down to just 34 percent.

Looks like the anti-Obama propagandists are winning this particular argument - pathetic as it may be.

I actually think he is an atheist who has to say he is religious or the backward half assed delusional religious people (which make up the majority) would not have voted for him.

Pathetic that this country still believes in delusions and suffers from mental illnesses like believing in "god".

I doubt if he sat in Reverend Wright's church for 20 years for show. That's an awful long time to keep up the facade. Weren't both of his girls baptized?

I voted "Don't Know" because there wasn't an option for "Don't Care"

Then again, if I really didn't care at all, I guess I wouldn't have bothered voting at all.

So the truth is, I'm just tired of hearing about it already, and not from one side or the other. From everyone. Nobody on this forum knows him so nobody really knows what he is, but that doesn't stop people from fighting about it. He won the election. He is the President. If he told the truth, good for him. If he lied, shame on him. We have bigger problems to deal with in the world either way.
