Sorry - but that's not what freedom of speech means. Go back and read what the Founding Fathers wrote. Christians can speak even if it annoys you, so can Conservatives, Libertarians, atheists, and others. If you don't like it - you should move to an Islamic nation where no freedoms exist.

Unfortunately for you, the USA has freedom of religion (not freedom from religion) and you might just have to deal with that freedom of speech here.
Ya, good retort. I'm floored.

FORTUNATELY there are rules to prevent festivals from being disrupted by people yapping away at attendees about stuff nobody wants to hear. Pretty sure that's a freedom worth fighting for too.

Christians, or anyone else, can't speak to me if they are annoying. That's a fact.

We are going to get to changing all the crap falling under the heading of "free speech" that isn't really. You can say you saw it here first but you probably didn't.

You are dead wrong. That is precisely what the first amendment protects. There will be a lawsuit and the plaintiffs in this case will prevail.

What if one feels that seeing people in Muslim garb is annoying and decides to preclude them from their "festival"?

Here is the most extreme case of abuse of freedom of speech one can imagine and even that is hard to prevent.

Then start with these Muslims proselytizing at a state fair. If Christians must be arrested for annoying Muslims then arrest Muslims for annoying Christians.

"What are they doing here?" said Paulette Kahlstorf of Zimmerman, who declined a card from Zuleyha as she left the fairgrounds with her husband. "I didn't come here for that."

I do believe our country has freedom from religion. In fact, that is one of the corner stones that makes America a democracy rather than a theocracy.

If anyone said a single word about these Muslim proselytizing every poster here saying the Christians were wrong would be arguing on behalf of free speech for the Muslims.

They are against everything represented by traditional America and for everything that is against it. There is no thinking involved beyond this. They just figure if it's anti-US it's the right opinion and if it's pro-US it's the wrong one. Case closed.

By this post, I assume you support the freedom of a mosque being built at ground zero. Annoying yes, but if Christians don't like it, they can move to an Islamic Nation where no such freedoms exist.

I don't know if it is more amazing that this happened in America or that nobody seems to care.

all it takes is for 1 person to be listening to their religious speech and your point would be moot.
