What you fail to realize is moving to another country does not exempt you from paying U.S. taxes. You can move to any other country in the world but you'll be paying US taxes as well as taxes in the new country you decide to relocate to.

The USA is the only country that makes its citizens do that. The only way to NOT PAY U.S. taxes is to opt out of the tax system. The only way to do that is by renouncing your U.S. citizenship.

Keep that in mind as you ponder the thought of "getting away" from the USA.

All of the places rate as the best countries to live in the World, less corrupt than the USA, and a higher standard of living.

The USA is falling and falling fast. You can just look to the rise Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck as examples. We have crossed the Rubicon and there is no turning back.

It's not easy to do.

If you don't have a highly technical skill your only other option is an investors Visa and that's at least a $600K investment on the cheap end 1.5 Mil for the EU.

At my age I've just decided I'm going to encourage my kids to get their University degrees overseas and hope they create some ties of their own there.

Also if the country moves too far to the right I'm out of here. That's a no brainer. The countries in my list are Canada, Austrialia, Germany, Switzerland, and Singapore

Wonder how many will say that when Obama wins his 2nd term?
How many promised to move to Canada if Bush won in 2004 and then failed to carry out on their threats? Just wondering how many you saw.

An estimated one million Americans did move to Canada during the last decade. Don't know how many did so to either escape Bush or Obama.

Not to mention a HUGE number of US businesses moved to Canada.

There is a tradition in the US of Americans threatening to move to Canada when they're fed up with US politics. I suppose if more could, more would.

NEVER would I consider it...Period

Obama wants America to fail so that the vision of Internationalist socialists can be realized. America is hated by the elite intellectuals of the world because we have been the single biggest roadblock to their plans to establish a one world governing system with them in charge.

Redistribution of wealth (aka) socialism will NEVER be a
part of the American way of life !

I will never forget the people and families of our military
who have given the ultimate for this country I love and
proud to call it MY only home.

I ask because there seems to be a great deal of unhappiness on this forum as it relates to this country.

If they would, where would they go? Is there a better free market society out there? That leaves conservatives only one place to be... whereas there are tons of socialist countries out there... and the socialists here... well, they are refusing to leave... ironic...

So what do you call building other countries at the expense of American taxpayers? Have a different name for 'redistribution of wealth' when it suits your agenda?
