BTW, check out the barriers to just "moving" to another country. It's not as simple as you'd think.
It's much simpler than trying to overthrow a system and completely change a country.

To which I say...here you go:

Table: The World's Happiest Countries - Forbes.com

Wow, look at all those socialist countries happier than the US!

As to sustainability, you don't sort of see the crumbling of the US as world superpower, under capitalism? The countries in the mentioned list have been around a LOT longer than the US.

Oh please, get off your butt and make something of your life. Why should I look out for you if you are not even looking out for you? That is what I call lazy ass. I am the most important person in my own life and that's how it should be. If one can't take care of themselves, how can they offer anything to anyone else? That's what Socialism brings. It brings mediocrity where everyone starts letting others do for them.

Really, and you yourself have checked out the barriers to just "moving to another country?" I have and they are high, if even attainable at all.

Again, this thread is about what is wrong with socialism, no one has said anything about overthrowing a system.

And capitalism is working out real well these days...right?

Where is your proof that socialism is a "bad" thing?

And your user name is so apropos, if you leave off the S and think of a fruit.

It was obviously an outlandish comparison, but it still doesn't change the fact that if you require people to be dependent on the Gov, people will lose the ability to fend for themselves, which slows competition, development, etc.

I see that you have come to the end of your argument and are now resorting to the old progressive trick of name calling.

Sorry, only the US allows that. After all, capitalistic businesses and driven people need the cheapest labor, right? Forget about that little issue of "legality."

Hey, didn't W have 8 years to close off that border?

Really? You mean you just can't stumble across the border into one of these socialist utopias and eat the fruit off their trees?
hmmm maybe they are on to something.
