Well, he might get to, but that person certainly WILL NOT be a raging leftist.

Ditch - nice thread to return to - you were right, a massacre it was, in the House AND in state legislatures.

No. Read any thread on C-D. The first person who utters the 'Gods, guns, and abortion' left-wing meme catch phrase is always a lib/Dem. The Dems lost 60+ seats in the House because of their lack of focus on the economy. How on earth could you have possibly missed that?

I'm glad to hear of the shift but you'd have to at least acknowledge the truth of where the focus had been and in a lot of places in the US, sadly still is.
The electorate's focus is on jobs and the economy. Not sure why you keep insisting otherwise. But then again, that does explain why the Dems lost so badly: lack of focus on the economy...

Well, in all honesty, I have brought it up a few times as an example of Obama's overarching arrogance. I had one lib argue with me that he never actually said it! Edit - wait - I assume the reference is to Obama's speech deriding voters who cling to their guns and their religion?

Guess what? Obama never did say "gods, guns and abortion".

With more Republicans in the Senate, it will make it harder to get through a very liberal judge. They will filibuster and I don't think the democrats have the b*lls to use the nuclear option.

Yes, he did say that, behind closed doors at a big lib fundraiser.

I don't think the filibuster applies to judicial nominations, although that might be a matter of tradition rather than a formal rule.
