Move your bed to the furthest wall from the meter or contact the power company or an electrician about moving the meter off the house to a pole. It will likely be your responsibility but you'll need the cooperation of your utility.

The old ones slow down after some mileage. The slower, the cheaper.

I don't know what prompts meter replacement, but my residence still has its original meter.
