I find it interesting how we can take something that is mostly the GOP's fault -- the financial crisis -- and blame its effects on Obama.

Now, granted, the Bush administration and GOP probably didn't intend to cause a recession... they just don't know dick about economics.

And granted, Obama's administration doesn't know dick about economics, either. But blaming gas prices on him? That's just nonsense.

There is a very simple solution to gas prices...Simply require anyone who buys oil futures to physically take possession of the commodity they are buying at the appointed time...That should end speculation right quick.

The financial crisis has little to do with gas prices. In fact, over the past two years it has helped keep gas prices down by slowing the rise in global demand.

The spike in oil prices is being driven by a little something called unrest in the oil producing countries. You might have noticed Libya being in the news of late?

The general trend in oil prices is being driven by increased demand... mostly from China.

Neither of these can be blamed on the Republicans... or Obama for that matter.

He's taking away our freedoms! Besides, isn't there something in the Constitution that guarantees cheap gas? I could swear I read that somewhere.
