"..pieces of trash.."

Do you know them personally?

And according to Fitzgerald, members don't either. Even though the SENATE RULES expressly say that when 5 members (last I checked, 14 is more than 5, oh, but, oops, those 14 who are physically there are not being recognized) ask for a call, that it has to be taken. If you can ignore the 5 members, though, then it's all right. Then you can ignore their votes, too. And that's all right. Because who cares about their constituents? Who cares if the people of the state aren't being represented in the legislature? Who cares if the entire concept of REPUBLIC is being shredded by REPUBLICANS????

But again you are asking the wrong questions..

What laws say they can NOT declare them in contempt?

What laws demand a roll call taken whenever YOU want them to be taken?

Again, laws are written to LIMIT your actions.. not demand them.. Is there a law limiting Republicans from declaring Democrats in contempt? NO.. then its legal.. Is there a law written to say a roll call must be taken now? NO.. then April 5th is legal..

Sorry.. Liberals dont get to just pretend laws exist that dont..
More importantly, if the quorum that is required to be there for a piece of legislation is not, how then do you legally piecemeal that legislation to get it passed? When the rules say that nothing regarding that piece of legislation can be considered until the absentee members return? Oh, yes, that is what the rules say. The real actual Wisconsin Senate Rules. The ones you think it's okay for your side to ignore, but not okay for the Democrats to ignore. Hypocrisy much?

No wrong doing was done. Deal with it although it will cause you to blow a gasket trying to spin it.

The people who are governed by this legislature are being wronged when legislation is being passed, and their legally elected representatives are not allowed to vote on said legislation. That means that entire districts in Wisconsin are being disenfranchised. And that, my dear, is WRONG.

Ah, if only we could see into the future when we cast our votes!

It looks like we have an update

Updated at 3:02 pm. ET: The top GOP leader in the Wisconsin Senate backtracked today, saying he won't prevent Democrats from voting on bills in committee, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinelreports.
In return, Democrat provided assurances that they would not repeat their flight from the state to avoid final votes on legislation, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says.
Fitzgerald and Senate President Mike Ellis, also a Republican, also say they won't fine Democrats $100 each for each session they missed and will stop withholding paychecks from Democratic senators.
"The name of the game is moving this state forward, putting this stuff behind us," Ellis said. "Let's get on witht he people's business. Let's stop all the bickering."
