I do find it telling that you don't disagree that you would not be defending him had he called a liberal woman a t w a t, though. it tells us exactly where you're coming from.
If rush limbaugh called |generic liberal woman| a t w a t, would you defend him?
I would not.
hello?

still no answer..

Now, be fair and check out post 31 and ANSWER the questions...after you THINK about the post...just try, it might work.

Correction, Michelle was not a politician at the time of Obama's campaign onset. However she became his political pundent and most certainly is a politician today by pushing through legislation in regard to the restrictions of what foods are allowed to be brought onto school grounds nationwide.

I have no idea what a "pundent" is.... and the FACT is Michelle is NOT a politician, has not run for office.....AND despite what Obama MAY have said , Michelle was often the target of nasty comments.

And that is off topic....the FACT is that nasty things are said about ALL politicians and if they can't take it they shouldn't be politicians.

Fact: It doesn't matter if they are men or women.

Fact: They should be able to defend themselves, or ignore it, as every ADULT has the right to do.

Fact: Treating women as children who need defending is sexist , condescending, patronizing and disrespectful.

Fact: NO feminist organization owes it to anyone to defend them.

are you saying that all i have to do is claim that i'm a comedian and that will cause you to defend my calling liberal women by their private parts?
I call plenty of men by their body part. So yeah. Good for the goose, good for the gander. In a perfect world, no one would call anyone names. Maher and other satirists use the male equivalent ALL THE TIME. This is no different.

If you don't like that type of humor, you're free to not watch it. But don't try to regulate what people say in the name of "because she's a woman."

Conservative? LOL
agreed Kay Bailout Hutchison sold us down the river when she gave our money away. She's no conservative. She is quiet and avoids the limelight though.

IMO, enjoying, engaging in that type of humor says a lot about ones character, intelligence, maturity, and decency.

Know what you mean there, mogal. I work at a school cafeteria, and I constantly hear comments about "Aunt Michelle", and not fond ones. Any little food restriction gets her name connected to it, deserved or not.

THAT is the point. Thank you.

Completely off topic.

So? We still have freedom of speech, Repugs haven't squashed THAT yet.

So far off topic it's fun! I'll try to rope it in...

Yes, Michelle is insulted by Repugs for trying to do some good, and sometimes quite nastily....but she doesn't run to N.O.W. (or anyone else) whining and complaining....nor should she.....and they have no responsibility to defend her.

I hope the OP finally realized women are not little children who need defending BECAUSE they are women.........to think so is the epitome of sexism.

This isn't just Maher, this is a society wide thing. Look at those stupid Roasts they do nowadays. The most vile and raunchy crap you'd expect from a teenager. People can't do "humor" anymore with out being so crude? Roasts use to ber actually funny. I dont see why people enjoy it.
