100% of doctors agree that no level of exposure(consumption) is safe for humans. I love how the gov't and media use the word "safe" when referring to consumption of radiated water and food.
Well apparently a helluva lot more than we're seeing. I give radioactive iodine to patients on an almost daily basis for diagnostic purposes, and in amounts far, FAR greater than we're seeing till now. It's the half-knowing alarmists who have people as far away from Japan as Austin, Texas (!!!) buying SSKI and Lugol's solution like we just got A-bombed or something. Lighten up; your last chest X-ray was far more 'worrisome' than this non-issue (and even that wasn't anything to sweat over.)

Some of the deception coming from these criminals is to quote figures of "safe" radiation levels in terms of EXTERNAL exposure ..... NOT INTERNAL ... as in radioactive particulate that might be consumed or inhaled ... of which there is NO SAFE LEVEL .....period.

Your tinfoil hat is awaiting you oh, king of nonsense. There is a war on indeed....it's not the INFO war you should be worried about, it's the insane rhetoric you're swallowing hook line and sinker. You're more dangerous to yourself and others w/ your hypocrisy than the Japanese radiation leakage.

Is there a danger? Sure, that's obvious. But the OP's attempt at hyperbole and your extreme over reaction and accusations are more lethal. Mainly to your credibility.

And as far as besmirching...I don't think you know what that word means.

YouTube - You keep using that word.

Here's a link if you want to know about all the possible things that can happen based on your exposure.

It is pretty silly to get so worked up over nothing. You don't have any of the answers to the questions you just asked either. But yet your are freaking out as if you do.

Obviously no radiation is best but I just had a dental xray last week and a chest xray a few months ago. Due to that I have been exposed more than the average person is during a year.

Radiation and Risk

I would be much more worried about getting in my car than about radiation.

You're worried about California? What about Japan now? Thousands are already dying from the radiation in Japan and you're concerned about water levels in California?

This hysteria has go to stop. Thousands are not dying. In fact I don't know if there has been a single death at this point attributed to the radiation in Japan.

People are so ridiculous. You are the same people who say millions died in Cherynobyl when in reality it was under 100.

Get a grip people.

I will now let you continue to your regular scheduled program "The Sky is Falling"

When you say "total effective half-life", you mean the level of radiation drops in half every 7.4 days or it becomes fully dissipated after 7.4 days?
According to the NAS report: even in low amounts, doses are cumulative in the body and this causes irreversible damage.

“The committee concludes that the current scientific evidence is consistent with the hypothesis that there is a linear, no-threshold dose-response relationship between exposure to ionizing radiation and the development of cancer in humans.”

This means that the sum of several very small exposures to radiation has the same effect as one large exposure, since the effects of radiation are cumulative.

Or that 9/11 was orchestrated and carried out by 14 hijackers with box cutters...............or Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. And Obama was going to end the wars. LOL........while the radiation level issue might very well get distorted I would never trust government or media or the "system" to tell us the truth.

It's scary to realize that even Japan, one of the world's most sophisticated and highly developed countries, is not capable of putting an end to that mess

Wow, Youtube is certainly a credible source for getting ones news. Certainly no one with just a webcam, 20 pounds of idiocy/insanity, no education or experience in their subject matter, and time on their hands would ever be able to upload videos.
