Follow the money. This is all about schools making a profit by selling lunches and a payback to SEIU lunchroom workers. It came right out of Michelle Obama's playbook.

It is Chicago, think again. You give them too much credit. Do you know how much money the food contractors for the Chicago schools get? There is big money to be made in selling pre-prepared lunches to the Chicago district, huge money.

Watch out if McDonald's employees start to seek representation from SEIU. The would be the most powerful union in the country!
And guess what city it started in?

That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. When I was in elementary school my Mom would send my brother and I to school packing home cooked meals. She gave us so much that you needed a large shopping bag to carry it all. We ate like kings. Nothing the school had beat Mom's cooking!

[this is the kind of thing that makes people hate government - and I work for the government!!]

As was posted upthread, this happened SIX YEARS AGO. I doubt Mrs. Obama had much to do with it.

The name "Aunt Michelle" was not uttered fondly when they took our school's slushy machine away.

The mind-boggling simplicity of some people's thought processes would be humorous if they didn't vote.

No matter how many times it's pointed out that this ban on school lunches was SIX YEARS AGO and that restrictions on home lunches have been imposed since the administration of G.H.W. Bush, it's STILL Obama's fault!

Prejudice and bigotry care nothing for truth.
