I propose to make the date of Osama's death a National Holiday. The passing of such an evil man deserves celebration, and as a day of rememberance for all those he has murdered. It also sends a message to terrorist-supporting azzhats that we won't surrender our freedoms to their actions. Kind of a big finger to those that would murder innocent people.
Two questions...
Which day is would it be? It was reported here on Sunday, the first. But in Pakistan, due to time changes, I believe he was actually killed on the 2nd.
What ideas do you have for a suitable tradition for celebration? We have fireworks for the 4th, parades for Thanksgiving, football for New Years, chocolate bunnies for easter. We need something more in keeping with the event...I'm trying to come up with ideas.

I don't agree.
We should have made September 11 2001 a national day of mourning, EVERYTHING SHOULD BE CLOSED THAT DAY.
If we can have MLK day, then we should have 9/11 day.
Are you kidding right. This monster does not deserve a National Holiday, in recognization of what, the killing of thousands innocent American lives, he does not deserve this in my opinion.
The celebration of the death of thousands of 9/11 victims, to me is not a holiday of National Recognization anything having to do with Osama.

Wasn't it May 1st, US Eastern Standard time? That new holiday you want, would go nicely with:
