Sucks for you guys that Gingrich has a record, one that involves "balanced budgets", (per Democrats), and putting people to work...

I can see why so many liberals dont like him

1983, LOL, you mean that SOLID year we averaged over 10% unemployment? THAT YEAR? That year is the one you want to point to? REALLY? in fact, that is 18 straight months we averaged over 10% unemployment....

Next you'll want to compare the growth in food stamp recipients during reagun, too. that should be fun.

Reaganomics rocked!
you wanta talk about reagun turning a 8.6% GDP gain into a 3.2% loss in one quarter. or was that someone else. you wanta talk about the negative 4.9% and negative 6.4% quarters? didn't think so.

The economic recession and restructuring that started during the Bush Administration.

You know on record he has lost 5 million jobs. Google is your friend but I assume you will choose to ignore the facts.

Add another 4 million who have been displaced and cannot find a job or those who had to take huge pay cuts at another job to even feed their family.

Give me a link to the 5 million NEW high paying jobs he promised us.

Not only is the moron a job chopper and a food stamp loving dunce but he also has allowed record numbers of people to lose their homes due to foreclosure when he promised to help those people.

Everything he touches turns to crap.

Foreclosure help FAILED
Cash for Clunkers FAILED
Job Creation FAILED
Shovel Ready Jobs FAILED
Close Gitmo FAILED
End war in Iraq FAILED
New Energy ideas FAILED
Bring down prices of gas FAILED
New Wind and Solar jobs FAILED
Oil Spill cleanup FAILED
Oil spill report sent to his admin that problems were coming. Obama FAILED to handle it.
Closing the Mexican border to illegals FAILED

Obama is the failure in chief and the Food Stamp King.

Must I go on?

Even ONE SINGLE JOB loss is too many considering he promised us 5 million NEW high paying jobs and was handed 800 billion to do it.

I created 27 jobs with my business and did it for less then 100k. Why cannot he create a single job as he promised?

Typical liberal

Lose 5 million good jobs here and gain 50,000 burger flipping jobs there and it is a plus. Oh boy.

With an average unemployment of around 5% Bush is still WAY better then Obamas average of 10%.

Obama now owns the record and Bushs record means zero because Obama has already set another record for next years budget for welfare pay outs.

Obama wins again, record food stamps, record foreclosures, record bankruptcies, record job losses, record car repossessions, record homeless.

The guy is just full of records.
Well since you asked about population growth:

Bush 43
Americans Below The Poverty Level
2001 - 32.907 million 2008 - 39.829 million - increase 21.04%

Overall Population Growth
2001 - 281.475 million 2008 - 301.041 million - increase 6.95%

The population grew only 6.95% during the Bush 43 administration. Not only did the number of people getting foodstamps increased by over 50% during his two terms the number of people living below the poverty level increased at a faster rate than ANY OTHER TWO TERM PRESIDENT IN THE LAST 50 YEARS

Change that. It started only after Nancy and Harry and the dems took control of congress.

Bush had 54 consecutive months of job growth and an average unemployment of around 5%.

Dems and Obama, minus jobs and average of 9% unemployment.

Poverty level means nothing to me with this issue. This is about food stamps.

Poverty level goes up and down based on many factors.

Obama has taken food stamps to an entire new level because of the massive job losses under his watch.

The other poster was using a chart and failed to add in the horrific Obama record of a massive increase in food stamps.

We added 7 million new people in 7 years. Reason for the slow rise in food stamps. Then Obama has taken it from 28% to 40% in two short years with a lot less increase.

When it is all said and done Obama will hit close to 50% in his first 4 years and will break all records for people receiving food stamps.

Look at the chart the poster left us. He purposely left out the quick rise of Obama compared to the slow rise of Bush over 8 years.

At this point OBAMA OWNS THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON FOOD STAMPS PERIOD.

Sad but it is the facts.
