You must have forgotten about family members who testified that their loved ones were not competent to make end of life decisions. Kervorkian chose death for those victims.

In what way were those family members qualified to make such a judgement?
Anyone could say whatever they wanted, the dead could not provide rebuttals nor be available for evaluation by qualified personnel.
And still this:
The one who imposes suffering on people is the criminal...think of that when you look up at the sky.

Family members would be most qualified to know if a patient was mentally competent, not a doctor who dropped in to kill.

He was not laying there with a terminal illness like cancer or ALS.

Why is this so hard to grasp?
Actually...it gets even better. He was scheduled to be released to a rehab facility next week. People with terminal illnesses don't go to rehab...they go home or to hospice to die.

So why people would ever think that he'd plan to use the machine in his condition before he died...is beyond me.

No your doctor cannot be directly involved in you killing yourself, and neither can any other person,it is YOUR decision and YOU should be the ONLY one doing the actual deed.

Those who are so wanting to kill themselves need to grow a pair and do it and stop wanting others to do the dirty work.

There are laws against it and they should be removed. That is asking for less government involvement.

YOU apparently want it to remain the governments business by keeping it illegal. YOU contradict yourself.

Is that simple enough for a Johnny Reb to understand?
There should be NO laws regarding you killing yourself.

That does not mean someone else can kill you.

If you want to die, have the balls and do it yourself.
Stop being A pussoir and do your own dirty work.

It should not be involved at all.

People should be free to kill themselves.

Other people can watch if they like, however they cannot participate in any active way.

Fair enough?

Yes. Dr. Kervorkian was not personally involved in the care of these patients. He only dropped in to kill them.
