so whats keeping this house together?..because if its "debt" propping up the whole nation, well, we're screwed...and that's could to be bad for everyone, rich or poor....(except those who somehow manage to get out the country)
my point?...how could being the largest debtor nation on the planet be anything but bad news for our future?...I mean if your next door neighbor had a ton of credit, loans and other debts, more so then anyone else in on the block, you would start counting down the days until he's out on his as*...
how the hell are we suppose to fix this?....and please this doesn't need to sink into a "tax the rich" partisan typical scream feast...our future kids depend on us fixing this..
Obama and Progressives support being the largest debtor nation in the world. Obama and the Senate own this. They have failed to pass and adhear to a budget since Obama was elected. Instread they just spend $Trillion after $Trillion.
Rogers isn't the only one singing this tune. I heard on one of the morning financial shows that the wealthy have moved at least 30% of their wealth offshore since 2008. Not exactly a vote of confidence in this administrations ability to solve the problem.
Odd since the most wealthy have done best under the Obama administration.

The simple solution is to eat our own medicine and let the bankers rot. However, this is not possible in modern day society. We must give the bankers bonuses and blame everyone else.

It can't be fixed....something people need to realise is there are times when NOTHING can be done to make things better as they currently stand.
Our statistical economic growth has been a result of vast amounts of debt. Our debt rose $11 Trillion from 1980-2011, and our GDP likewise rose by the same amount. Coincidence?
Well, we tried cutting taxes, and it only made things worse. Now what?
Any fool could have seen that cutting revenue to the Fed (payroll taxes) without cutting spending would just get us deeper in the hole.
That was a new tax cut for 2011.
Extending the Bush cuts (now the Obama cuts) is not "cutting taxes" since those cuts have been in place for almost a decade. It was money the Fed was not getting anyway.
Well obviously the ONLY solution is to raise taxes and spend more money.
Well, that is your opinon.
