I traded my Jeep Wrangler (15 MPG) for a Ford Focus (36 MPG). I did it for financial reasons and wasn't trying to make a statement. I have no regrets.

King of All Cars Tops 267 MPH | Autopia | Wired.com
"The Bugatti Veyron is, once again, the fastest production car on the planet."

<http://www.thesupercars.org/fastest-cars/fastest-cars-in-the-world-top-10-list/>
"1. Bugatti Veyron: 267 mph, 0-60 in 2.5 secs. Aluminum, Narrow Angle 8 Liter W16 Engine with 1200 hp, base price is $1,700,000. Tested again on July 10, 2010 with the new 2010 Super Sport Version: the Bugatti Veyron once again claims the title of the fastest car in the world at 267 mph."
Try the 2011 Hennessy Venom GT
Think Corvette ZR1 engine with twin turbos crammed into a Lotus Elise($725,000 to $950,000 - 1200HP - top speed 275 - 0to60 in 2.5sec - 0to200 in 15.9sec)

But the Venom and the Veyron are hardly mainstream production vehicles like the CTS-V.

I'm a little afraid of what you all will come up with, but what do people think the cars in my garage say about my wife and I? I won't tell you who drives what and don't hold back, I won't cry - or I'll try not to.

2008 Mercedes C63
2007 GMC Yukon Denali

I drive a 2007 Suburban (3 kids and a 6'3" husband who wants head and leg room), husband has non-family friendly vehicle.

As far as parking goes....I always park far away from the "crowd". Only because there are too many people who drive any type/size of a car and just can't park b/c they don't give a crap. Also - I don't want my kids opening a door and slamming it into someone else's car. Especially on a windy day.

Well if it is the Mercedes c63 AMG. It has about 450 hp. That is lot of ponies. My guess that you would be driving that car. Powerful car. You probably like to drive. this is not a status car but a performance car, although mercedes is a status car. I would say the person that owns this car is not really making a statement about status. I would put this in the area of...I really like to drive.

Yukon probably your wife's car. If you saw both cars at a family reunion, it would imply that you guys are not worried about money. However, it is now 2011 and most people who get these kinds of cars don't keep them as long as you have. May have hit a bump in the road or you are being cautious.

One of you is probably a doctor. Not a dentist, but a real doctor.
