Casper

You could be right Casper, maybe they all knew. Maybe the tape was placed on afterword to confuse what was I suspect an accidental death due to chloroforming. Maybe they were all in it. He is a cop and could lend some leadership. In any case these parents have to be wanting to raise such a monster!

No, they had evidence that something happened, but none of the evidence ccould directly link Casey to that something.

Which is very important when you're being on the jury for a murder trial.

Just because people were "convicted on less evidence" doesn't mean that Casey should've been convicted with evidence that linked none of which to her.

So if I accused you of being a witch you'd be fine with being burned at the stake? Others equally as guilty have been convicted on as much evidence.

DNA evidence in her car.

Lying about and creating the false identity of a baby sitter when her daughter disappeared for 30 days not contacting the police when her daughter disappeared? What mother does that and goes out partying and getting cryptic tattoos? Threw her Father and Brother under the bus to save her own guilty tail.

No. She's absolutely guilty. There doesn't need to be a smoking gun. "Beyond a reasonable doubt"... That was proven during the trial. Jury ignored it.

I bet there is DNA evidence that my nephew has been in my house. He's alive and well.

A terrible one. Maybe even a murderer.

If you're referring to the strand of hair, that's far from a "smoking gun".

Which is why she was convicted under the "lying" charge.

Dunno, but that doesn't prove she killed anyone.

Which again, does nothing to prove that she murdered.

I agree.

The law disagrees.

So what happens to her? People thought OJ was guilty and he eventually ended up in prison. Maybe the grandparents of Caylee can sue her if they don't remain close. And she seems pretty wild and not all that high functioning so she'll likely get into trouble or have people take advantage of her. And she'll be hated.
So what does she do? Get plastic surgery and assume a new identity? Thumb her nose at society and try to get rich of of all this and enjoy the notoriety? Or go nuts and end up in a mental hospital or worse?
I'm not going to waste any more thought about her, I'm forgetting she exists. Karma will deal with her in its own way.

An ignorant jury did do their job! Sadly there is no way of determining 'beyond a reasonable doubt' (Ha!) that members of a jury fully understand and can rule based on 'reason' even though they may have doubt...and are not certain.

Except no.

The jury was not ignorant, they ruled the only way they could've based upon the extremely shoddy case the prosecution put out.
