Yes. There is an "agenda." The Gay political activists fought for and won having homosexuality removed as a Psychiatric Disorder from the DSM, which it was in 1986.

For the last 20 or so years, there has been a huge and successful Media Campaign to help gain acceptance; with the goal being that the American Public will see no difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals. You can read about the strategy in a book called, "After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90's," written by two brilliant, Harvard educated, Homosexuals, Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen. I would say their book is on par with Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." The difference, and "genius" of the plan is that the transformation of acceptance and obtainment of rights occurs slowly and silently, using psychological, propaganda techniques so that people are not really aware of what is going on. The steps involved of Desensitization, Jamming & Conversion are clearly spelled out in the book. For example, in discussing Conversion, the authors write, "We mean conversion of the average American's emotions, mind, and will, through a planned psychological attack, in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media. We mean 'subverting' the mechanism of prejudice to our own ends-using the very processes that made America hate us to turn their hatred into warm regard-whether they like it or not." (pp 153-154 First Plume Printing 1990) It is a fascinating read and explains how the country has made such an abrupt turn around in acceptance of homosexuality (whether we like it or not!)

While I, personally, can understand and sympathize with much of the plight of homosexuals and support many of the gay agenda's goals, I do not approve of the underhanded method that silences and bamboozles people into acceptance and am particularly offended when the government gets involved and our children are targeted. It is reminiscent of Fascism.

The political agenda is extremely simple: equal treatment under our civil laws.

Treating homosexuals equally under the law will not harm the people, therefore it has merit

Parts of the gay agenda include ridiculing, humiliating and 'guilting' anyone who opposes parts of their political and social agenda [homophobic, haters, mental disorder, bigots, etc.]; trying to keep opponents off the media, while using media to advance the agenda; portraying themselves as victims, similar to slaves; using diversity and anti-bullying programs to promote homosexuality.

The agenda has been effective. Kudos to the gay community.

I think you are a little confused. Everything you listed are tactics. An agenda is a part of a goal you wish to achieve. Tactics are the means to reach that goal.

For instance, you might say the agenda of certain religions is to spread the belief. There are different tactics to reach that goal. You might pass out leaflets door to door. You might torture or kill anyone who doesn't agree with you. You might set up a television show to talk about it. But the agenda is to spread the belief of that particular religion.

Now, don't the homosexual tactics sound mild in comparison?

Obviously gay activists and politicians have an agenda, all activists and politicians do. Pet causes, special interest, etc. It's mainly for equality, which can feel like "special privileges' to some. And then there are those who yell the loudest and get the most attention who just want to make noise and annoy everyone. And don't forget "straight guilt", like "white guilt" without the color.

The average, every day homosexual who isn't marching in the street or in the political arena does not. Same with most people.

I was accused of making things up as there is no gay political agenda. The term is a politically invented construct to demonize people who oppose equal rights for gay people.

If we can't agree on such a basic premise it makes it hard to have any kind of rational discussion beyond this point. So I'm asking the group - what do you think? Is there a gay political agenda?

Yes/No

Is this good or bad?

Lets simply discuss whether a gay agenda exists and whether we believe this is a good thing or bad thing. Lets express our own beliefs but also have respect for others.
Jeeez I hope so, it is the nly way they wll get equality under the Law. This straight white Christian hopes they win their fight.

Only if you believe equality and not being treated like second class citizens is an agenda....

The full details can be found printed in special ink underneath the ingenious cover of rainbow flags and bumper stickers. You need special glasses to see it, which can only be obtained after successfully completing a sex act with a certifed member of the gay mafia. Remember, the first rule of the gay agenda is that there is no gay agenda.

Please tell me this is a joke. Because if not, I feel sorry for you. I honest to God do. You are so paranoid and delusional it really must be a living hell to live in your world. Thinking all these people are out to just destroy you and your family.
The internment camps must be the worst. How do you make it each day? What doesn't scare you?

I'm pretty sure the poster was being tongue in cheek, perhaps even poking fun at Bachmann with her crazy gay conspiracies.

If that's the case fine. But then I apply everything I said to her...
