What we know so far is that 7 are dead in Oslo and 10 seriously injured. Several youth are killed in Utoya, several are also missing.

The arrested man is Norwegian"
Doesn't mean he is not a Muslim but this should be interesting.

The fact he's Norwegian means nothing.

What Norway has is a psycho killer with some political agenda.

Time will tell what his reasons were.
There is no indication that he's a Muslim. British bombers came from an extremist Muslim environment that exist very limitedly in Norway. White people also have a hard time getting access to such environments, they're also followed very closely by the Norwegian equivalent of the CIA.

All experts are now saying that due to the shooting, it's unlikely that Muslim extremists are behind the attack.

The Norwegian Labour Party is officially committed to social-democratic ideals. Its parole since the 1930s has been "work for everyone", and the party seeks a strong welfare state, funded through taxes and duties.[6] During the last 20 years, the party has included more principles of social market economy in its policy, allowing for privatisation of government-held assets and services and reducing income tax progressivity, following the wave of economic liberalism during the 1980s. The Labour Party profiles itself as a progressive party that subscribes to cooperation on a national as well as international level. Its youth wing is the Workers' Youth League.

The group attacked seems like a communist light type of party. Looks like the Left is going to have field day with this one as the suspect may in fact be a right wing extremist.

Beside Islamists generally do suicide missions this smells like McVeigh type hit based on what is being reported.

What on earth indicates that he is though?

There are very few Norwegian born converts, the chances are slim.

That doesn't mean it might be the case, but in all likelihood it's not.

lol you have no idea.

The Labour Party in Norway is pretty much equivalent to the Labour Party in the UK.

Social Democrats and Democratic Socialists. Not Communist... there is another party for that.

The labor party is pretty much as middle of the field as you can get, they are a central left party, but predominantly central. They are social democrats, not communists or socialists.

The most likely reason for the attack is that the Labor party currently holds the prime minister and is the biggest player in the coalition government. They are also the most centrist of the parties in the government. The two other parties they govern with are further to the left.

How'd the guy get on the island? The police uniform?

Are there some political extremist groups in Norway where this guy could get those kinds of explosives?

That bomb reminds me of Oklahoma City.

They do not yet know how he got onto the island, he was wearing a blue sweater with a police tag on it, it is not verified whether or not it is a real uniform. It has been verified that he isn't and has never been a police officer.

They currently do not know what type of explosives we're talking about, it could be homemade, it could be stolen or bought, the police don't know at this time.

The suspect is talking to the police, so information should become more available through tomorrow and the coming days.
