It's a basic law of nature that if you don't work for survival you die. The only exception is parasites.
Short term help is understandable, generational welfare is not. Effort should be made to transition the able bodied into work. The able bodied that refuse to work can starve as that is their right to choose.
Their children should be removed as this would mean they are unfit. ( The government is already paying for their food, housing and medical ).
The sperm donors/boyfriends can also starve if they choose this route. Remove the section 8 crash pad, free food and a means to suck off the system.
People fall on hard times that's understandable. Blatant stupidity should not be rewarded. Alot of these people are like the bums you see begging for food when they have money for beer and cigarettes.
If someone feels the need to assist lazy losers they are always free to take them in or send the government a check if they want to.
They should do any with any food stamps,vision cards,etc
I see people buying stacks of steaks,pork chops on em and i cant eat like that.
Not to mention all the people who sell them for 50 cents on the dollar.
Give people those government cereal,cheese,meats etc and no cards or stamps.
I remember someone having the Government food with generic labels im sure its still around.
The food stampo budget isn't goig dry but alot less will qauilfy and return to working those jobs they say they would do;IMO.
Actually we ARE doing those jobs. My hubby makes minimum wage,that's it. He's getting OT and it's only cos of the OT hat we don't qualify. Of course, you can't count on getting OT indefinately He's looking for another better paying job, but in the meantime is working what he could find. Lots of people work 'those kind of jobs" and still qualify for FS

you are absolutely right, and there are plenty of women making smart choices out there. (and men)
welfare payments should be cut when recipients have another child. after all, you don't get a raise for having kids in the real world, and giving more money incentivizes bad behavior.
in the real world, you learn to make do with less, or you don't have any more children.
if these people can't afford to even feed their own children, how on earth do they plan on educating them and preparing them for the real world? maybe they aren't even thinking about the actual well-being of their children.
what gives them the right to make demands on the rest of us?
A great example how the entitlement group is holding us hostage.
Yes, all those service men and women are holding you hostage, yes all those single mothers are holding you hostage, yes all those poor children are holding you hostage, compassionate conservatives
