I can't comment on "hot" but the last flight I was on had a flight attendant so short she had to jump up to shut the overhead compartments. Haha. It is true that things used to be based on looks and attendants had to weigh in regularly. I made it through a couple rounds of interviews back in the late 70's only to be cut while several men went on to the next round. Timing is everything!
Whoever said they were all that hot to begin with? And why does it even matter? Just bring me my peanuts, ginger ale, and a pillow. What you look like is your problem. I couldn't possibly care less.

Ex-CUSE me, but I flew for TWA from 1969 to 1974 when their hiring and appearance standards called for "the Hollywood glamor girl you'd like to bring home to Mom."
Draw your own conclusions about how "hot" I was, you young whippersnapper!
Now it's just the great unwashed on a flying bus, thanks to deregulation. "Hot" isn't relevant or needed to enhance the flying experience.

Precisely. The only "eye candy" that gets my attention on a flight is the sight of a smooth and safe landing on the tarmac at my destination.
You've spent years on this forum bad mouthing government regulations, applauding the underfunding government services, then turn around and gripe about the government not being able back up it's laws with proper enforcement?
You've got a lot of nerve. It's because of your votes for those that hope to destroy government do we not have enough resources to protect workers.
Able?
They can back up their laws when they want to.
It's called selective enforcement (see Obama Administration).
As for regulations, not all regulations are bad and not all regulations are good.
When a liberal comes into the shop because their CEL is on and their PCM stored P0401, I don't tell them that their vehicle will run just fine without them spending $400 to replace their EGR valve since regulations say I'm not allowed to do that.
I'll need to see some pictures of attractive stewardesses of airlines from other countries.
